Participants are eligible to enter the contest if they are:
- legally resident in Germany at the time of application and when travelling with the awarded Friendship Pass,
- are at least 18 years old on 15 September 2026,
- their chosen Pass Validity Period starts before reaching the age of 28. Participants must not be older than 27 years on 31 October 2027.
During travel, participants must be able to prove their legal residency and age by presenting a valid identity card, residence card, or passport to the train conductor upon request.
Participants must have a valid email address, complete the online application form and quiz within the contest period, and participate only once. The organiser or technical operator may request proof of identity, age, and residence before issuing the Friendship Pass or during the prize issuance process.
Employees directly involved in the organisation or administration of the contest, as well as anyone submitting multiple entries or providing false or misleading information, are not eligible to participate. Failure to meet these requirements may result in disqualification and the prize being awarded to the next eligible participant in the ranking.
